My favorite for sure! The water was beautiful, you could see to the bottom and it was so blue! We did such fun things there too, and the best part is, they were things that I would NEVER do usually. But when in Rome..or Grand Cayman why not right? We started out by going to Sting Ray City, it was so cool. We took a boat ride for 30 minutes out into the middle of the Ocean and we got out of the boat and just hung out with a bunch of huge sting rays. If you know me, you would think that this wasn't really me, I
hate waiting behind a boat while wake boarding because I am scared of fish. Sue me. But it really was amazing! They would just come right next to you and swim right under your feet and they would come right at you, terrifying but so awesome! We then went to a different spot and went snorkeling, I was nervous about it because last time I
hyperventilated and had a nervous breakdown. I don't know why, but it is so not natural for me to be swimming with fish and breathing underwater, but it's totally not. But I gave it a try and went in, I tried to breath deep and slow but it was short lived. My breathing was fine but my body was so tense I started to cramp up and headed in. ha ha! Ryan loved it though! He is seriously a little fish, he does enough swimming and adventurous stuff for the both of us. We then just went and hung out on the beach and it was so pretty, it had white sand that was so soft! And again the water was beautiful! Can you tell that I loved Grand Cayman??
Next was Roatan (sp?) it was really cool too, it was less developed and so it felt more natural and way cool too look at! It looked just like what I would imagine my brothers mission looks like. Little tiny houses, jungle, little shops and beautiful beaches! The locals were so great there, we had a great guide and driver and we even met a lady that had a rope swing on her property that went straight into the ocean! It was really cool, but not my thing! I passed, but again Ryan did it enough for the both of us.
We then went to Cozumel, which was fun. It rained that day for awhile so that was a bummer. But we went to a little resort that had huge water toys in the Ocean that we were able to play on. That was more of a relaxed day.
Lastly, we went to Princess Cays. That was strictly a beach day, not much to do on the island but I did try snorkeling again and was a bit more successful.
It was so so so fun to go on a cruise, I keep thinking about how much I love cruises now because I never felt hungry because everything is "free", There was something to do all the time, We were able to see new places and the best of all was I had a husband all to myself for an entire week and I LOVED it! It just made me remember how great he is and how much I love and appreciate him! He is the best! Hope everyone had a wonderful week and I'll be back soon!
This is the rope swing that the lady let us use. So scary, but awesome!
