Home again Home again!

Well after the three week trip to Utah we are finally back to Arizona our now home!  I went down to Utah for a week on my own because Ryan had finals, so i thought it would be better for him if I wasn't here.  So I spent the week at my parents house and it was great to be back! Ryan took his finals and did well on them so I guess me not being there paid off in the end! My week was spent being with my family, going shopping, laying around and just being kind of lazy.  I would occasionally get some exercise in but not too much! After all, I was technically on vacation! I went to my sister in laws wedding shower which was fun because I hadn't seen any of them since we moved here!  It was so fun to see all my little nieces and nephews, it's so crazy to me how quick they change! I love them! They are all so sweet! Ryan and I are really lucky when it comes to having sweet little nieces and nephews!
Ryan came after all of his finals and that's when the craziness started!  That week we had two weddings, two receptions, two luncheons and four temple visits! My cousin Kirsti got married and Ryan's sister got married.  They both married amazing guys, but those guys are SOo lucky, they are both so sweet and kind they will make the best wives! All the wedding stuff was so crazy but it just made me remember how much I loved getting married and how much fun it has been! Ryan and I have been married 7 months and time has gone so fast!  I have never had such a blast with one person in my entire life!

The next week was Thanksgiving week and I knew that was going to be so fun, because we were able to stay with Ryan's family and we had Thanksgiving dinner with all of his sisters and brother and their spouses.  Even the newlyweds made it back in time!  I never really have been the type to sit and really think about everything that I am thankful for but this year I have so much to be thankful for it was hard not to realize how lucky I am.  I'll give you a short list of the many things I am grateful for:

MY HUSBAND!  Holy cow I am lucky to have him, he really is the best husband I could ever imagine.  Even with going to school and having such a crazy schedule he still is amazing.  He really makes sure that he makes time for me and I appreciate it so much. He makes me laugh more then anyone I know. I love that about him! It is always such a good time when I'm with him! Another thing is that he is always willing to help me with anything!  He loves being there to help and I love it! I really could go on and on about the things that I love and appreciate him for, but it would be too long, and probably too mushy for everyone!  He really is the best and I am so lucky to have him!
My Family!  My family is the best! I have gotten so close to both my mom and dad the past few years.  I never realized how much they do for me and my brother and sisters.  My dad is the most selfless person I have ever met, he does everything to make sure everyone has what they need.  He is the first to volunteer to help people when they are in need.  My mom, wow she is an amazing lady! She is the sweetest, most kind person you will ever meet.  She has such a good heart, she is the best example to me.  The combo of my mom and dad is unreal! They are amazing.  My sisters, they are the best! Having my sister Kindi down here in Arizona has helped me so much, she is like my second mom, love her! Jenna is just like my mom, she has the sweetest heart.

She has the personality that people know that she cares about them. She makes sure she is always kind and I love that about her.  Oh man and my only and youngest baby brother! He is on his mission right now, and I miss him like crazy but I'm so proud of him!  He is amazing, he really is I'm not just saying that. He is so sweet and he has changed so much being on his mission (for the better :)) I love him!  And Adam, he has been a good addition to the family, he adds a little spice to the family! He has his sense of humor that makes everyone laugh.  Jack and Colty bug, I consider them to be my kids! I love them so much, they make me smile every time I think of them! I love getting to watch them grow up and be the cutest little boys I know!
I'm so grateful for my in-laws too.  Tony and Marsha have been amazing at making me feel welcome in their family.  I married into such an amazing family.  My sister in-laws are all so sweet and kind.
They are so fun to be around.  Jackson is so sweet, he really has a heart of giant.  He is so thoughtful.  My brother in laws are so funny and always make me laugh and enjoy the time that I am around them.  Like i said before my little nieces and nephews are so cute and I hope to have kids as cute and sweet as all of them.

My friends! Both my friends in Utah and my newest friends in Arizona!  My friends in Utah I have had for as long as I can remember.  They have been such great influences on me.  They really have made me who I am today.  I had the best times with them and they also have been there for me in bad times!  I love being able to see them when I go back home!  My newest friends in Arizona are great!  It has been so easy to make best friends here because we are all in the same boat and we all know how it is to have a husband in medical school.  I know I have made friends here that I will have throughout my life.

I am also thankful that everyone is healthy and strong!  It really is so nice not to have to worry about anyone being sick.  We really are so blessed to have our health and strength.

I really feel so lucky to have everything that I have and am so grateful for them all!   Sorry that list was much longer then I anticipated!  Sue me for having so many things to be grateful for.  I rather have a long list then a short one I guess!  But I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break like we did and I hope everyone is getting ready for Christmas like I am! Our Christmas tree is up and I'm waiting for my black Friday decoration purchases to come in the mail.. I had to ship them because I had no room in my suitcase!  It's like I'm waiting for a Christmas miracle to come in the mail!  I can't wait to decorate the tree and have it look like Father Christmas threw up on my tree!  I love over doing the decorations!  Can't wait! I'll post a picture as soon as it's done! Happy Christmas Season Everyone!!

Halloween Games on YouTube!

So I never mentioned this, but on Halloween all of us got together and had such a fun night.  We had delicious food and played a fun game.  Our friends, Jenny and Skyler had a game that they play at parties and it's called "Minute to Win it!"  What it is, is there are different random tasks that you have to do in order to get points for your team.  One of the games we had to play along with another couple was we had to put vaseline on our noses and take six cotton balls from the table to a plate in under a minute. Our favorite game of the night was when our friends, Julie, Tyson, Rachel and Wes had to play "Junk in The Trunk." They had to  tie empty tissue boxes around their waists that had three or four ping pong balls in each box, they had to shake their bodies to try and get all the ping pong balls out the fastest.  It was so funny! Everyone was laughing so hard including me, which you can hear in the video.  It really was such a blast.  We have had such a great time being in Arizona and meeting all these new friends that we have.  They are all so great and they keep us here and loving it! Now here are some pictures from the night and also the link to the video! Enjoy!

Here is Ryan and I in our Home Made Ninja Turtle Costumes

Home Sweet Home!

So tonight Ryan and I went over our plans for Thanksgiving and going home! I'm so excited to go home and be with our families.  I'm going home on November 7 which is during finals week so I can't be here to be around while Ryan is trying to study.  So I'm going to be home with my family for a week and I'm so so excited.  It's so nuts how home sick I really get even when I see my mom and dad like once a month!  It feels like I haven't seen anyone since the summer.
Ryan is coming home the week after and we are going to stay at his parents house for thanksgiving week.  I'm really excited for all the festivities that will be going on during our break.  His sister is getting married on the 18th and my cousin is getting married the 20th.  I can't wait!
We are so excited for all the family things that are coming up! We love and miss our family!!

Random Nun-Sense. . .

So it's been awhile. . . only because nothing has really been going on! I've really just been doing crafts and hanging out with my friends which is so fun, but you can really only post so many pictures of your projects before you go too far.  People start thinking that's all you do.  So I'll just cover the past events, like I do every week.  I hope this is what a blog is used for.  I don't really have funny stories or kids to talk about.  So here goes nothing.
(This is Ryan after he thought it would be a good idea to put his desk on cinder blocks because he was getting back aches from it "being too short"..:))

As of late I have turned into something that I never knew was possible.  I love it, but it's a change! I've suddenly become so obsessed with pottery barn and the things they sale on there that I swear I could make.  Like rocks that are painted with chalk board paint and they write words on them, they sale them in a set of 4 for $15.00! So I go to my sisters back yard pick out some rocks and get spray paint and there you go! I've made them, easy.  Next.  My friend Emily showed me this section in Home Depot where they put all the scrap wood and sell it for $0.51.  So I buy some get some spray paint, design a cute name thing, bedazzle it a little (a lot) and there we go! I get a thrill from it, buying cheap supplies and making something worth hanging on a wall.
This is my next project: Fix my beloved blanket that my Grammy gave me. Then Ryan can't be so grossed out by it! :)

This past week my sister and I and the little guys went to the pet store at the mall.  They have so many cute puppies that I want to take home.  But apparently it's a good idea that I don't... I'll tell you why.  So we found this Mini German Shepard, it was soo cute! A worker got it out of it's cage and let us play with it.  The boys weren't loving it, but I was.  I was hugging it and rubbing my face on it.  I wanted to take him right then!  Well when we left (without the pup) literally two minutes after I started to ITCH! Everywhere! But mostly on my thighs...weird.  But I couldn't stop itching them, it was out of control!  I couldn't stop itching, nothing was going to stop me from getting that itch.  So my sister started to get worried and took me home and I showered and was much better, but looking at me you wouldn't have thought I was okay.  I guess I itched a little too hard... My thighs were bruised, it looked like I had been kicked with a soccer shoe.  It was hideous! Well the worst thing out of this whole story is I sent a picture of it to my mom...bad idea.  She called me crying saying that something was wrong with me, and it's stupid of me to take it so lightly.  So I was ordered to go to the doctor.  So Ryan and I went and I had to give my blood, which is my worst nightmare! I hate it more then snakes, spiders, scorpians, worms ANYTHING! And after all that, the doctor called me and told me i'm fine and I just need to lay off the itching and not to be so aggressive.  I guess I'll stay away from the dogs for now.

Lastly, the weather here in AZ has been amazing! It has been low 80's upper 70's.  It is so pleasant.. finally! It's been so bloody hot I was about to boil.  But Ryan and I went and picked up a new little table and chair set for our deck.  Walmart special, we love it.  We picked it up so Ryan could start studying outside, which hasn't happened yet, so I'm putting it to good use by sitting out here and blogging.  But we bought it, almost didn't get it in the car, got home and then I was asked by my sweet husband if I would put it together so he could study...what the! I've never done this, but I guess there is a first for everything..why not now.  So I put it together and I'm like a proud mother looking at it.  Although I wasn't happy at the time, I am now. Who knew it could seriously be so confusing? All that matters is that it's standing and usable.

So that's really it, thanks for reading yet another post by me.  Sometime I'm going to get Ryan to post, sometime during his 20 hours of studying a day, why not take thirty minutes to write on our blog? It's a great idea I think.  Anyway, Until next time...whenever that will be.
Oh and P.S. update on the Fat Kid, Tramp Situation, they got a new tramp, but when Ryan tried to get on it with Jack, Jack freaked out and started yelling "he's going to break it, off off!" Ha ha, best thing ever! I love it!

Celebration Week!

This past week was full of fun and exciting events.  We first started out with Ryan's parents coming in along with my family too.  It was so fun having everyone here! They had all come in for Ryan's white coat ceremony. Sadly, Ryan had a really big test to study for so he didn't really get to spend much time with anyone.  But that means I was able to spend a lot of time with them!  Ryan's parents and little brother stayed with us in our apartment, which was really fun to have them just right here! No traveling required :)

The White Coat ceremony was on Friday afternoon so Ryan was at school up until the ceremony so we all went and met him there.  We all sat together and watched both Ryan and my brother in-law get their white coats.  So great and exciting.  We went to dinner after with everyone which is always fun! We did some pre-birthday shopping with my mom and sister.  We wathced conference too this weekend which was great like it always is.  I was so sad to see everyone leave and I can't wait to see them again in a few weeks back in Utah.
This last Tuesday was my 22nd birthday!! It was so fun to have everyone here over the weekend because then it started my birthday a few days early!  Since I was little I have LOVED my birthday! I think it was because my parents always did such a great job giving us a wonderful day! But Ryan has taken over very well! He made me breakfast and then he went off to school and I went off to the Phoenix Zoo with my sister and nephews and a friend! It was really fun but we had a pretty big rain storm which was fine, it seems to rain on days that are important (i.e. our wedding day) After Ryan and I went to dinner and then came home and just watched a movie and took it easy!  It was a great day thanks to my family!

Next I went to the Science Museum with the same group of family and friends! It was really fun and I've never seen Jack so focused on things.  He loved it and it was so great to be there.
This week was also full of crafts! A few of us have done everything we can think of, and we have enjoyed ourselves the entire time! We recovered things and made vinyl lettering, it is so fun!  We are going to do it this week again and I'll keep you
updated with pictures and things!
But that is really all for this week! If anything else comes up that is worth blogging for! Have a great week everyone!

I Still have a crush on Justin Timberlake...Sue Me!

This you tube video is from the Jimmy Fallon show.  I haven't seen much of Justin lately since his appearance on the Ellen show but it's been a while.  When my sister Kindi (who is so in love with Justin and is CONVINCED that he is going to show up on her door step for her birthday and sing happy birthday to her, you would think after being let down for the past ten years she would get it...guess not) But anyway, she showed me this and all my feelings came back for him.  Oh how I loved him in his baby blue swishy sweatsuit that he wore on his Disney Channel N'sync concert appearance.  His bleach blond curly hair that my husband tried to copy when he was in high school but wasn't successful (from what I've heard from his friends) I love him in this video, not only is he a hottie but he is funny. Here you go ladies and gentlemen.  Enjoy.

What The Fat Kid???

This week was a good week you could say.   I started my week off by downloading the new Keith Urban song that I love! Everyone should get it, it's called "Put you in a song"  It's great! I may or may not be listening to it as we speak on repeat.
Next I got an email from my brother that is on his mission in the Dominican Republic on Monday afternoon saying that he had to go to the hospital because he had to have a blood test because he had yet another parasite.  This is his second one and he has only been out for 8 months! Poor guy! But he said that hospital was terrible, there was a giant dead cockroach in the middle of the waiting room and there was blood on the walls and the ceilings.  I can't imagine having to be in a place like that because I'm sick and needing help.  I feel like I would get more sick by being in there.  I miss my brother so much! The first few months of his mission went really really slow, but now I can't beleive he has been gone for 8 months.

It makes it easier when I get his emails and he sounds so happy and so different and grown up.  I am so proud of him, it's so crazy to me that he has made such an impact on our little nephews.  Especially little Jack, when he says his prayers he always says to bless "Mats" (Max) on his mission.  They know where he is and they know why he is there.  He is such an amazing person and an even more amazing brother! Love him!

Speaking of Family, my cute sister in law got engaged this week!! I'm so excited for her and Cade.  Weddings are so fun and it's even more fun to have it be someone in your family! So we are heading up for her wedding that is on November 18.  And it happens to work out that my cousin Kirsti is getting married November 20 so I get two weddings in two days! I'm so excited for both of them! Congrats!

Since we have so many things going on within like the next two months that we are going back to Utah for I of course had to ask for time off.  I started my job in August so I was really nervous to ask for it off.  But I got the courage up to ask for the time off for Thanksgiving and Christmas and my boss let me have less then a week for both of them.  I was bugged but whatever, I can't really do anything about it.  But then when I was needing time off for the weddings it wasn't as easy.  She wouldn't let me get the time off, for my own SISTER IN LAWS wedding.  Unbelievable.  So Ryan and I talked and we decided that I needed to quit if she really wasn't going to let me have the time off.  Well consider me unemployed.  I am back to being without a job.  It kind of is nice but at the same time I know I'm going to get bored.  But atleast I can do whatever I want for like the next three months! Woohoo!
Finally, you are probably wondering what the title of this post has to do with anything.  Well I will tell you.  Tonight since it was my sisters Sunday to do dinner Ryan and I went over and ate with the cute little fam.  Well my nephew Jack is starting soccer on Tuesday, so I told him to go and get his shoes on so we could go out back and play soccer. Me, Kindi, Jack and little Colty went out and played soccer, it was so cute.  Jack is going to be the Star Player I can tell already. Ha ha, anyway after Adam and Ryan were done doing the dishes :) they came out and were playing around too.  We got bored of that and I was jumping on the tramp with Colty and Jack wanted Ryan to jump with him too.  So Ryan started to jump while holding Jack and all of a sudden tramp springs were flying everywhere. Ryan and Jack were suddenly what I thought sitting down... but when I looked closer Ryans entire leg had gone through the tramp!! It was so hilarious! Jack was terrified! He had no idea what had just happen and ran out of Ryan's arms and jumped off what remained of the tramp.  I was laughing so hard, I can't help laughing at that type of stuff, and when I say laugh I mean bent over laughing so hard you can't hear it.  Kindi was so concerned about Ryan, she kept asking if he was okay and me being the good wife I am yelled out "where is the camera??" I had to get this on film! So you can all thank me for these pictures! I love them! So when I was taking the pictures Ryan goes "What the fat kid? Sorry I've gained so much weight that I can break a tramp now." Ha ha I love him! He keeps me so entertained!
Sitting Ryan...?

Leg Through the tramp!

 The damage.

Lastly, I'm considering doing a triathlon with some friends here, I don't have a bike, does anyone know if I need a road bike or a moutain bike or does it really matter? I have no idea what I'm doing.. Help.
