What The Fat Kid???

This week was a good week you could say.   I started my week off by downloading the new Keith Urban song that I love! Everyone should get it, it's called "Put you in a song"  It's great! I may or may not be listening to it as we speak on repeat.
Next I got an email from my brother that is on his mission in the Dominican Republic on Monday afternoon saying that he had to go to the hospital because he had to have a blood test because he had yet another parasite.  This is his second one and he has only been out for 8 months! Poor guy! But he said that hospital was terrible, there was a giant dead cockroach in the middle of the waiting room and there was blood on the walls and the ceilings.  I can't imagine having to be in a place like that because I'm sick and needing help.  I feel like I would get more sick by being in there.  I miss my brother so much! The first few months of his mission went really really slow, but now I can't beleive he has been gone for 8 months.

It makes it easier when I get his emails and he sounds so happy and so different and grown up.  I am so proud of him, it's so crazy to me that he has made such an impact on our little nephews.  Especially little Jack, when he says his prayers he always says to bless "Mats" (Max) on his mission.  They know where he is and they know why he is there.  He is such an amazing person and an even more amazing brother! Love him!

Speaking of Family, my cute sister in law got engaged this week!! I'm so excited for her and Cade.  Weddings are so fun and it's even more fun to have it be someone in your family! So we are heading up for her wedding that is on November 18.  And it happens to work out that my cousin Kirsti is getting married November 20 so I get two weddings in two days! I'm so excited for both of them! Congrats!

Since we have so many things going on within like the next two months that we are going back to Utah for I of course had to ask for time off.  I started my job in August so I was really nervous to ask for it off.  But I got the courage up to ask for the time off for Thanksgiving and Christmas and my boss let me have less then a week for both of them.  I was bugged but whatever, I can't really do anything about it.  But then when I was needing time off for the weddings it wasn't as easy.  She wouldn't let me get the time off, for my own SISTER IN LAWS wedding.  Unbelievable.  So Ryan and I talked and we decided that I needed to quit if she really wasn't going to let me have the time off.  Well consider me unemployed.  I am back to being without a job.  It kind of is nice but at the same time I know I'm going to get bored.  But atleast I can do whatever I want for like the next three months! Woohoo!
Finally, you are probably wondering what the title of this post has to do with anything.  Well I will tell you.  Tonight since it was my sisters Sunday to do dinner Ryan and I went over and ate with the cute little fam.  Well my nephew Jack is starting soccer on Tuesday, so I told him to go and get his shoes on so we could go out back and play soccer. Me, Kindi, Jack and little Colty went out and played soccer, it was so cute.  Jack is going to be the Star Player I can tell already. Ha ha, anyway after Adam and Ryan were done doing the dishes :) they came out and were playing around too.  We got bored of that and I was jumping on the tramp with Colty and Jack wanted Ryan to jump with him too.  So Ryan started to jump while holding Jack and all of a sudden tramp springs were flying everywhere. Ryan and Jack were suddenly what I thought sitting down... but when I looked closer Ryans entire leg had gone through the tramp!! It was so hilarious! Jack was terrified! He had no idea what had just happen and ran out of Ryan's arms and jumped off what remained of the tramp.  I was laughing so hard, I can't help laughing at that type of stuff, and when I say laugh I mean bent over laughing so hard you can't hear it.  Kindi was so concerned about Ryan, she kept asking if he was okay and me being the good wife I am yelled out "where is the camera??" I had to get this on film! So you can all thank me for these pictures! I love them! So when I was taking the pictures Ryan goes "What the fat kid? Sorry I've gained so much weight that I can break a tramp now." Ha ha I love him! He keeps me so entertained!
Sitting Ryan...?

Leg Through the tramp!

 The damage.

Lastly, I'm considering doing a triathlon with some friends here, I don't have a bike, does anyone know if I need a road bike or a moutain bike or does it really matter? I have no idea what I'm doing.. Help.

This weeks goods!

So this past week there hasn't been a whole lot that has gone on.  I have started a new craft project and of course it has taken me much longer and cost me more then I expected.  I wanted to make a Halloween banner out of cute Halloween fabric. So I took myself over to the giant JoAnns fabric store and bought some fabric and ribbons.  Then I had to buy new mats for my Cricut and then I had to get some sort of iron stuff so i could cut the fabric on my cricut.  So all in all I was already doubting the project before I had even started.  So I went home and started to cut and I thought "hey how am I going to connect all this stuff together??" A sewing machine of course!! Which I did not have! So I thought about getting a sewing machine for a few days, then i took myself down to Costco and got myself a sewing machine! It's awesome! I love it, I can't wait to use it. It may take me awhile since it took me well over 20 minutes to thread it. But this is just the beginning of my new sewing hobby! If only I had more time to do it! I'll make time!

I have been spending a lot of time with my sister Kindi and her two little boys since Ryan and Adam are always so busy.  It has been so great! I love having her down here with me! She is so great, we do everything together!  We go to movies together, we go to breakfast together and we go swimming every chance we get!  It's so fun to have the little guys around too! I love them so much and it makes me not as home sick when I'm with them!  I love that family of ours!

The next big event coming up (besides my birthday:) ) is the "White Coat" Ceremony.  It's where the new medical students get their white doctor coats.  It's October first and it is apparently a really big deal.  Ryan's parents are coming down and my parents are coming down.  I'm so excited for everyone to be here! I get the butterflys thinking about my parents and my in-laws being down here! It has been way too long! I miss them soo much! I wish our entire family was coming down, that would be like Christmas!

Anyway, that's all for now, I feel like i'm getting much better at updating the blog, soon it will be like every week and a half! Woot Woot!

Here is Ryan dressed as Spiderman for Jacks birthday... ha ha! He is such a good sport! That's why I love him!

We are alive!!

It's been so long since I've been in the blogging world! I missed it but I just couldn't get myself to sit down and go over everything that has been going on! But now it has all built up and there is more then enough to talk about! But I won't put you to sleep with all the details of everything! I will just graze the surface of everything!  So here it goes...
1. First we moved, I know it's not new news but it's something that is a big deal and I want to talk about it. So we moved down to Glendale Arizona for Medical School.  It's so hot!!!! But.... I LOVE IT! I have lived my entire life being cold all the time and now I'm never cold! It's so nice! I actually get hot, it's weird!  But Ryan and I love it, he is at school most of the time (which he is also enjoying) so he isn't in the heat too much.

2.  Second, Ryan started school!! He has starred his journey through medical school.  We have made lots of new friends through school and church and it is so fun!  It's like we have started an entire new life out here and it is treating us very nicely!  Ryan goes to school from about 8 in the morning and usually gets home around 5:30, eats dinner and then goes into the den and i usually don't see him until the next morning when we wake up and start the whole schedule over again! It's crazy busy, but he is really enjoying himself !

3.  Third, I got a new job!  I work at a salon assisting a stylist and it's an entire new experience.  I really like who I am assisting, she is amazing and I am learning so much!  I can't wait to continue there and learn a ton!
4.  Fourth, We went to Newport this summer and had a blast!  Every year the Neeley's go to Newport for a week in the summer and stay in a beach house! It is like a dream vacation! I love going there and we are looking forward to it again next summer!

5.  Fifth, I have turned into someone I never thought I would be....I have become a budgeter and a couponer! It's insane, I love it.  Today I went to two different grocery stores so I could get the deals at both of them.  It was so worth it since I saved $62.00!  It's really great, I do have to dedicate like 2 and a half hours to grocery shopping, but in the end it's all worth it!  I get a high from it, and Ryan loves saving some green!

So that's it.  Short and Sweet, but I told you I would only skim the surface of our exciting summer.  Even though it's September and usually I would say our summer was over, but it's not.  It's still reaching 105 here so summer is still in full swing!  So if you need some more summer feel free to come down and make a visit to your favorite newly Arizonians!
